Crannóg Ales: NHG’s Latest Business Partnership
Brian, Co-Founder of Crannog Ales, outside his brewhouse.
We’re proud to share something that’s been quietly brewing behind the scenes: Crannóg Ales and BNA Brewing are officially joining forces in a long-term partnership built on shared values, deep respect, and a love of thoughtful craft beer.
For over 25 years, Crannóg Ales has stood as a pioneer in sustainable brewing—Canada’s first organic, zero-waste brewery, rooted on a small farm in Sorrento, BC. They’ve grown their own hops, brewed with integrity, and stayed true to their vision of environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Their beers have become legendary across BC—especially the beloved Back Hand of God Stout—and their commitment to doing things the right way has long earned our admiration.

This partnership means that BNA’s brewing team will help bring Crannóg’s iconic beers to a broader audience, while staying true to the original recipes and values that define them. The same ingredients. The same heart. Just brewed with our facilities and support in Kelowna and Vernon—so you’ll finally be able to enjoy Crannóg beer beyond the growler.
As Crannóg’s founders said:
"We know that by working with BNA we can bring our beer to a wider audience without compromising quality, and that our identity will stay alive."
This collaboration isn’t about scaling for the sake of growth. It’s about creating more access to something worth sharing—carefully made, value-driven beer—and ensuring it remains true to the story and stewardship that built it. We’re honoured to be entrusted with this next chapter of the Crannóg legacy.
Look for Crannóg beers on tap soon. Until then, here’s to meaningful partnerships, great beer, and a future rooted in purpose.
