Kyle Nixon Named to Kelowna’s Top 40 Over 40
We’re excited to share that Kyle Nixon, co-founder of Nixon Hospitality, has been named one of Kelowna’s Top 40 Over 40.
This distinction honours entrepreneurs and leaders who are not only well established in their careers but also continue to build lasting impact in the communities they serve.
This recognition comes as no surprise to those of us who work alongside him. Kyle is a leader who shows up for his team, brings energy and heart to every room he walks into, and consistently pushes to raise the bar, not just in the hospitality industry, but in how we treat people and grow with intention.
From BNA Brewing Co.'s early days to a growing group of concepts including Skinny Duke’s, Hello Darlin’, Bernie's, and Snowshoe Sam’s, Kyle’s vision has always been about more than food and drink. It’s about bringing unique experiences to the community and creating places that people are proud to work in.
As Kyle puts it:
“Try to leave things better than you found them. This applies to so many things in life, including places you might work, but also to the people you work with.”
That quote is more than just words; it’s how he leads. Whether it’s empowering emerging leaders, shaping an inclusive and creative workplace, or staying deeply involved in the day-to-day of our venues, Kyle sets a tone that’s grounded in humility and driven by purpose.
This Top 40 Over 40 recognition is a moment to celebrate not only Kyle’s achievements but the kind of culture he’s built at Nixon Hospitality. One rooted in care, community, and collaboration.
Congratulations, Kyle. We’re grateful to be on this journey with you!
